💕Romance and Essential Oils 💧

Well - essential oils seems to be a hot topic as of late and since it’s been a while since we’ve written about hot topic things… might as well start with romance! 😉 🥰

I have an entire Galentines Day Class I’ve done (you can purchase the online event here) and while I love this event There are some things that we want to make sure we dive deeper into, mostly the oils that are SO amazing for you and your spouse. AND please - don’t yell at me…. I know that there’s romance needed for other relationships - I know!! But this one is specifically for you and your spouse. The End.

So why use essential oils for Romance? Scent is a REALLY powerful thing!!! When we smell something it hits our olfactory nerve, and then our limbic system….and if you remember back to Biology 101 - the limbic system actually works to affect our entire body in as little as 30 seconds. So what we smell REALLY matters!! ALSO skin is the largest organ of the body, so what we put ON the skin gets absorbed into the bloodstream. That means that what we smell and put on our bodies can effect so much more into the future so - why not set ourselves up for success in the future? There’s a handful of oils that I always suggest you use for Romance and I could go DEEP DIVE into them, and I might sometime in the future (different oil highlight posts again?) but today we are talking about Romance and there’s a lot to cover in that so…. let’s get started! 💕💕

Romance is more then what you find in your bedroom (or wherever 😜🤭).

It starts with how you talk with each other, and that means that you need to figure out your own head and what’s what. That might mean doing an iTOVi scan or an SOC application to get your head back on straight - do that. Set your house up for success - do you have clutter, dooms day piles, dirty dishes in the sink, trash that needs to be taken out, laundry put away, money issues? Handle them (no not all the problems will get figured out in a flash but starting the conversation and getting a plan together is a great place to start). Flirt a little - find out what the other likes to hear, what their love language is, how they receive love best, do they like soft kisses on the cheek? Would they rather have a bear hug? Do they need the emotion pressure point on their foot pressed? Diffuse something amazing for your mood - uplifting think citrus oils like Wild Orange, Lemon, Lime, Grapefruit - Bergamot for reducing stress - Melissa calms anxious feelings - Ylang Ylang balances emotions. My favorite blends are Wild Orange with some Peppermint or the Holiday Joy blend (yes - even in the middle of summer).

Once you’ve gotten the stage set and emotions on track - what else can you do? Foreplay. It’s not always about touch, a lot of it is about setting the stage, but it can also be about making your intentions known. You want to do something romantic for your husband? What does he really want? This might mean that you watch an action movie instead of "The Notebook”… “but that does nothing to turn me on!” you might shout (please don’t!)! But. here’s the key…. it’s NOT about you. When you are working to romance your spouse, you can’t turn it around and make it all about you. It’s a weird and abnormal mindset I know, but it IS a really great thing to show your spouse you can be the romantic one.

We love great tasting food - and great tasting food / snacks / treats, can totally be upgraded with essential oils. My personal favorite is adding peppermint to our homemade brownies mix, but something as simple as strawberries or pretzels in chocolate can be a total game changer with some added essential oils.

We really can’t dive too deep into specifics here but one of the universal ways to show romance to your spouce …. a massage! Here are some of our favorites!!
